Gather Round Adventurers!

"It's me," says the sorcerer. "I'm Sam Earle. Welcome!" 

 

You gaze around the desk the sorcerer is working at, and see a wide assortment of trinkets: gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, whosits and whatsits galore, and at least 20 thingamabobs. You can tell this sorcerer, Sam, has a large variety of interests - there's a sword hanging on the door, many thick tomes of arcane knowledge (dungeons and dragons playbooks, anyone?), a lot of textile crafts like cross stitching, crochet, and embroidery, and wait a minute... "is that a Switch?" you ask the sorcerer, "Are you playing Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch right now?"

"What!" The sorcerer shoves the Switch into a drawer but you can still hear the muffled soundtrack of the Zelda game. "Stop breaking the illusion! Do you want to hear my tale or not? It all began on a night much like this one..." You ignore the sunlight streaming through the window and the faint music, and listen to Sam's tale.

 

"Many moons ago, when I was adrift on the sea of life, and unsure of my destiny, I met a strange traveler - a friend of a friend. Curious by nature, I enquired about the occupation of this person, and that is when I learned about animation. Intrigued, I inquired where one could learn this trade, and after talking with more students and even teachers of the craft, I decided to try to find my fortune in the field of animation. But heed my words! Do not let my late discovery of this field imply a lack of passion for it, nay! I have passion a-plenty! Now, I have been learning the mystical art of animation for many seasons - and while mastery does not and cannot come in that short a time - in this year, 2021, I have finished my college training and am about to embark on the next leg of my journey: gainful employement!"
